Key Information & Precautions

• Addiction, Abuse, and Misuse (Schedule II): Hydrocodone exposes patients to the risks of opioid addiction, abuse, and misuse, which can lead to overdose and death. Therapy should be prescribed at the lowest effective dosage for the shortest possible duration.

• Life-Threatening Respiratory Depression: Serious, life-threatening, or fatal respiratory depression may occur with use, particularly upon therapy initiation or dose escalations. Carbon dioxide retention secondary to respiratory depression can further elevate intracranial pressure.

• Hepatotoxicity Risk (Acetaminophen):
